Commonly selected funeral arrangements

Although New York State law does not permit the sale of most pre-packaged funerals, we put together a few of the more common types of funeral services that we offer to give you an idea of the typical costs of funerals. Each funeral is different, each family has their own needs and desires. It is our utmost privilege to tailor each funeral to the wishes of the family and the decedent, and to make every funeral a memorable experience for those involved. 
Just as each life is unique, so each funeral can be a unique tribute, not
just marking a death, but remembering a life.

...and please remember, when choosing a funeral home, price should not be the only deciding factor. Choose a funeral home that offers
1) professional, dignified service; 
2) quality merchandise;
3) value for your money.
 Funeral homes do make a difference in your total satisfaction.

1. Traditional Funeral Service: This is still the most common funeral service in our area. Variable items will be priced accordingly.

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 15 miles)

  • Preparation of remains to include embalming, dressing, casketing and cosmetics

  • Calling hours, viewing or wake (up to 4 hours in any one day)

  • Service at a church of your choice (within 15 miles)

  • Hearse to cemetery or crematory (within 15 miles)

  • Graveside service at cemetery if so desired (within 15 miles)

  • 100 engraved acknowledgement cards

  • 100 printed prayer cards or service folders

  • Guest register book

  • Obituary in local newspaper

  • All necessary funeral home arrangement, supervision and service charges

  • Does not include charges for your choice of casket, vault, or cash advanced items

  • Total: $ 3,970.00

2. Semi-Traditional Service: With this this type of service there is no embalming and the casket must remain closed during calling hours. Variable items will be priced accordingly.

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 15 miles)

  • Preparation of remains to include topical disinfection and casketing

  • Casket calling hours, viewing or wake (up to 4 hours in any one day)

  • Service at a church of your choice (within 15 miles)

  • Hearse to cemetery or crematory (within 15 miles)

  • Graveside service at cemetery if so desired (within 15 miles)

  • 100 engraved acknowledgement cards

  • 100 printed prayer cards or service folders

  • Guest register book

  • Obituary in local newspaper

  • All necessary funeral home arrangement, supervision and service charges

  • Does not include charges for your choice of casket, vault, or cash advanced items

  • Total: $ 3,555.00

3. Funeral service without using funeral home facilities:
 Variable items will be priced accordingly.

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 15 miles)

  • Preparation of remains to include topical disinfection and casketing

  • Service at a church of your choice (within 15 miles)

  • Hearse to cemetery or crematory (within 15 miles)

  • Graveside service at cemetery if so desired (within 15 miles)

  • Obituary in local newspaper

  • All necessary funeral home arrangement, supervision and service charges

  • Does not include charges for your choice of casket, vault, or cash advanced items

  • Total: $ 2,995.00

4. Funeral service without religious services or use of funeral home facilities:
Burial or cremation must take place within 48 hours. Variable items will be priced accordingly.

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 15 miles)

  • Preparation of remains to include custodial care for 24 hours and casketing

  • Hearse to cemetery or crematory (within 15 miles)

  • Graveside service at cemetery if so desired (within 15 miles)

  • Obituary in local newspaper

  • All necessary funeral home arrangement, supervision and service charges

  • Does not include your choice of casket, vault, or cash advanced items

  • Total: $ 2,650.00

5. Direct Cremation: 
Variable items will be priced accordingly.

  • Transfer of remains from place of death to funeral home

  • Alternative container expressly manufactured for cremation.

  • Transfer of remains by alternative vehicle to crematory in Rochester, NY within 24 hours of the time of death.

  • Return of ashes in temporary container to next of kin.

  • All necessary funeral home arrangement, supervision and service charges

  • No public or private viewing of the decedent, no services (religious or graveside)  or use of  funeral home facilities are included with this selection of service.

  • Does not include your choice of alternative container or charges for urn, or cash advanced items

  • Total: $ 2,605.00

  • This mode of disposition is dependent on many variables, and at some times cannot be carried out without additional charges being incurred. Time and place of death, holidays, doctor schedules, cemetery schedules, town clerk schedules, etc. all play a part in this type of service. We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve you, however, not all included parties keep the same stringent scheduling.
