About Us...


The Baris Funeral Home was established in October 1985 in Clyde, New York. Clyde is a small rural village with a population of approx. 2,500 people. It is located within the Town of Galen, which is located in Wayne County, NY. Wayne County is in the north central part of the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.
 

The funeral home is independently owned and managed by Albert J. Baris, (Biography) a New York State Licensed funeral director since 1975. He attended funeral service school at the American Academy- McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, located on Park Ave. in NYC. Prior to opening his own funeral home, he worked as a licensed funeral director for a funeral home in the NYC area from 1975 to 1981. From 1981 to 1985, he was the licensed manager of the Scott, Mann & Lundy Funeral Home, which was also located in Clyde, NY. 
We are the only funeral home in Clyde that is locally owned and managed, with a licensed funeral director on the premises 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

On the following pages are samples of a general price list and casket price list, both required by New York State law and the Federal Trade Commission. For current versions of these price lists, please call or e-mail us. We feel that by using these tools, you will be able to do comparisons on an equal basis. It is our firm belief that knowledge in the area of funerals, death and dying is VERY important. This site has been established for educational purposes only, and it is NOT for marketing or sales.
